Vilma Markusson

Vilma Markusson is a Scandinavian artist currently based in Portugal.

Her work explores memory, identity, nature and place through a combination of figurative and abstract forms. Drawing inspiration from the changing Atlantic light, botanical forms and the contrast between northern restraint and southern warmth, she creates paintings that balance quiet observation with emotional presence.

Vilma is currently completing her final year of Art at Aljezur International School in Portugal, following the Cambridge International A Level programme.

Working from her studio in Portugal, she develops original paintings and limited edition prints inspired by everyday moments, personal memories and the landscapes that surround her.

Each work is signed and produced as an original piece from her studio in Portugal.
